2004 Christmas Classic

     Welcome to the Sturgis Soccer League’s Annual Christmas Classic Indoor Soccer Tournament.  Games for this tourney will be played at one of four sites, Sturgis Williams Middle School - Grunwald Auditorium(Tournament Headquarters), Ft. Meade Gym, Brown High School - East Gym, and Sturgis Community Center.  Directons to each site will be available on the web site and at the tournament headquarters.  We begin play on Friday, Dec 17,  at 6:00 PM.  Saturday play will begin at 7:00 AM with play beginning at 7:40AM on Sunday.  We will attempt to accommodate all the individual scheduling requests.  It is our intent to ensure that all the younger age groups are not scheduled for late evening.  Teams from beyond 150 miles will not be required to play Friday evening. 

     FOR CHECK IN:  You will be required to have a current state certified roster, a player card and medical release for each player, travel papers for out of state teams, and the completed tournament roster provided in the registration packet (extras will be available at the scorers table).  Ensure all players are present at check in.  We suggest that you arrive 1 hour prior to your first game to ensure sufficient time.  Roster size is limited to 10 players.  Players are only allowed to be rostered on 1 team.

     COACHES AND PLAYERS:  DO NOT BRING ANY SOCCER BALLS INTO THE TOURNAMENT SITES.   We will provide game balls and a warm-up ball before each game.  The tournament committee may collect all soccer balls brought into the tournament sites.  Please, respect the other many activities also occurring in the building.  Coaches are solely responsible for the behavior of their players, parents, and fans.
